They are one of the species that is considered to be compatible, these guys are better in proper shoals (singletons and pairs dont tend to do well from what I have read). These guys need dense suroundings and good free open swimming space at the front, with good flow. SAPs are also notorious for needing to have their beaks trimmed no matter how often crunchy foods are fed, so have a read around the forum and stickies to ensure you have the stomach to handle it. What size tank are you thinking? I can only see the 180g listed and really wouldnt recommend these with the fahaka
Oh as to what the tankmates should be, have a read to see the combinations people have tried, be aware that puffers are all individual so what may work for one may not work for another and they may not take to certain fish
