I don't have experience keeping jardinis, but I have had several (including two current) set ups that mixed fish and turtles successfully.
The determining factors are generally the turtles temperament and the body type and size of the fish. Your general "basking turtles" (sliders, painteds, etc) will do fine with most cichlids as long as the fish isnt small enough for a turtle to think they can swallow. I currently have a 180 gal housing a RES and 2 sliders with a 11" tiger Oscar. No problems at all, but there is plenty of space (plus a large above tank basking platform for the turtles).
Also have a 20 gal that has two hatchling turtles (a painted and a map) with a 2" peacock bass. Obviously the bass will be moving on to a larger tank very soon, but they get along just fine.
Long bodied fish that resemble big "feeder fish" or fish that aren't moving most of the time have not worked in my experience (I tried with my florida gar and a pleco). They just get stressed by the turtles and the turtles seem to pick up on that fear.
In short, I wouldn't try a jardini. You could get lucky, but the odds are against it working. Lots of other fish you could house in there instead.
