Hey guys,

My first post here so go easy on me.

I've got a 240gal (8x2x2) in the shed doing nothing and i've been toying with the idea of setting it up this summer with a couple of Australia Saratoga's as thats pretty much what we can get here (dang).

My questions revolve around how much I can stock this tank as it will be the permanent home for these fish. Can I get 2 Saratoga's in here for life or would I be more inclined to just one? Also can I have some smaller fish in with them such as Oscars to break it up a bit?

Thanks!

PS: Sorry if this is covered somewhere I had a look and couldnt find anything.

Iv been told silver arowanas need a 120gal per. Saratogas get to be about the same size maybe even smaller, so i think you can maybe put 2. But if you put fish like oscars u might over crowd the tank with the saratogas already in there. Iv never kept saratogas so this is just a speculation

Thanks for the reply, the oscars were just a thought I was only thinking of maybe 2 but im happy with 2 saratogas that sounds good to me.. just gotta wait a couple of months now until they come into season here unless I can find someone selling.
