Satanaperca lilith tank size??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Keep in mind that a spawning pair of myersi will likely take over a large portion of the footprint of that tank. It may seem improbable, but I have 8 - 10" Heros pairs who claim 4' x 2' of a 220g, leaving all their tankmates pushed into the remaining 1/3 of the tank.

My concern if that were my tank is that I would have 10 eartheaters ranging from 6 - 10" all trying to occupy the mid-to-lower level of the aquarium, and potentially crammed into 1/3 or 1/2 of the tank if the myersi spawned. I think it's doable, but the wild card is the pair of myersi. Spawning cichlids always throw a wrench into the plans.

Yeah i removed the myersi. They where getting really rough at only 3inch on everything in the tank. Relatively peaceful cichlids only for me.

5x S. Lilith
5x red heads
1. C. Proteus (dwarf Pike)
1xfestivum
2x l59 pleco

I wanted to do more festivum but i herd they can be really rough on the tank as a group, so 1 for now

Man the bottom is really overc

Im going to let the fish settle in some more and maybe ill switch things around. There are 2 runt red heads that are always fighting and stay by themselves. Maybe ill take those 2 out. The other 3 read heads that are larger are always nice and swim together. Any recommendations for top swimmers?
