The LFS where I work weekends has a group of Satanoperca acuticeps that are fairly small (6-8cm). Has anyone had experience with these? Are they aggressive?

Non aggressive but very delicate and prone to HLLE / HiTH and neotropical bloat. As these are almost certainly wild fish keep them warm 84-86 well aerated and feed small grain food about the size of brine shrimp. A very nice fish indeed.

:iagree: Hit the nail on the head. I read also that feeding too large of foods can affect them

Cheers for the responses guys, still considering whether to buy them or not. They do look pretty cool though.

Exactly.

They get really tall dorsal fins, nice fin extensions, etc. I bought some sight unseen that looked like they have been starved for weeks. 4 are fat now one is still iffy.

Large / prepared foods seem to contribute to the bloat problem.
