Hey Jeff! Here are my maps. I can't figure out how to add pics to PM sorry.. First time I've posted pics since the day after I got them. The muzzle barring is finally starting to form into spotting which I am excited abouut. I lost my big female a while back :( so I am down to 4 in the group.

And this is why they are moving... :nilly: My OH group are going at it like rabbits and it's stressing the s. mapiritensis so they have to move. The maps grow really slowly so they are considerably smaller than the OH's.

Thanks Devon. Satanoperca is my favorite genus and I'm pretty lucky to be keeping two rare species at one time. I am waiting on the maps new tank to get delivered next week. It's going to be beautiful. :D

Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing. :)

Your welcome. If you end up having a female, you should really jump on the large male Rapps has right now. Being as he is the only one I know of selling this species. If you find another source, please let me know. :D GL

Looking good Justin.

Justin,

Your maps are fantastic, even alluring. They're also the only satanoperca w/o a picture on the cichlid room companion. I think you ought to take steps to correct that seeing as how you have great pics of top quality specimens. The profile is also decidedly thin..... Just sayin'

Thanks for the kind words Ravyn! I would not want CRC using my pics, the flash does these fish no justice and I have to shoot on a macro setting that washes out the lime green and blue colors. :( If I turn the flash off, I get epic blur.. I can't win :irked: One of these days I will man-up and buy a decent camera.

The only decent shots of my maps were taken by Modest_Man (<<< see my avatar, my old female) maybe he is willing to send a few CRC's way.
