Nice color. More like S. leucosticta though. What's the exhibit?

Peter is correct on the Satanoperca leucosticta. Is this the Oregon zoo James? They have some massive ones in the amazon display 10"+.

Must be. These weren't named on the informational displays. They were in the Amazon Flooded Forest exhibit at the Oregon Zoo. Only cichlid in there.

They are, I spend a good half hour watching that display, it's very nice. What's crazy is they have two 6'+? snakes in with them that roam free in the display including the water and don't touch the fish. (that may be normal but I'm no snake guy so that caught me off guard).

Hmmm just me or does it seem like they are missing something in the exhibit.....sand!!! The leucos and the rest of the exhibit look awesome though!

They had some sandy looking substrate coverings, but nothing that could be pulled up. The display was more for the dozen three foot Pacus and Turtles.

They had a little display of mixed Africans if that counts. The species lists claim to have some Discus, but I didn't see any.
