These two are very closely related and yes they will cross.
Not something I would encourage.
Geophagus and satanoperca can be hard enough to Id without the added confusion of crosses.
Leucostica will have a spotted face jurupari will have lines in its face.

It's less likely than you think, if I remember right one is an immediate mouthbrooder (S. juruapri) and one is an delayed (S. leucosticta). I could be wrong, too late to look it up though. This can cause fights between the parents if it's the case and makes it a less likely option but if there are no other valid options it still might be possible.

I'm not saying it's a common occurrence but it has happened.
If you want to keep both species together then go ahead, chances are they may not breed with one another, but it has happened.
As long as any fry that may survive are dealt with responsibly then there is no issue.

Oh, I'm sure it has happened. Especially given a lack of valid options in some aquarist tanks. Cichlids are very adaptable. Just saying despite how closely related they are, the differences in mouthbrooding types tends to be a fairly good barrier to crossing. Most of the crosses seen, while still rare, with Geophagus types comes from ones that share the same breeding strategy.

I had red heads and altifrons together and there was always a clear distinction among the two groups

How are you so sure it has happened.....?

Let me rephrase ... it wouldn't surprise me despite the breeding differences. In this very sad day and age, you could tell me you've bred an Discus and a Dovii and I'd probably believe it.
