I have been battling high nitrites that past week and a half and last night I had a spike in my amo. .25PPM and I noticed the fish scraping himself off the sand substrait. The water perimiters are back to normal today. 0-0-20 and I added salt. andything else I should be doing to get his slime coat looking better?

He is very camera shy. I think it's a ammonium burn. That tank has mellowed out. Will see what he looks like in a week.

I have learned something, Never change out your substrate and add a bunch of fish right away
