So I have a question about my small pseudotropheus saulosi colony. There are 6 fish in a 40 gallon breeder (6 was all I could find). Two are females and are currently holding. By my count they should be spitting next week sometime. My question is how many will survive in the aquarium if I don't remove them? It is very rocky, and I recently heavily planted it as we'll until I can get my sex ratios right, which has helped with agression. I only ask cause I don't have another tank setup I could put the females in to spit. So I guess I'm asking, should I leave them in the main tank, or quickly throw together a 10 gallon tank????????

I would say single digits would survive at best. I've never had luck with letting females spit in the tank. You could get a breeder basket and place them in till they spit.
