Saved a life

Found this half-desiccated toad (Bufo melanostictus) this morning. Even at 11am the air temperature was 33 degrees Celsius. Right now it's about 2.30 in the afternoon and I'm just glad I'm not under the blistering sun anymore.

I released the toad into a pond promptly after taking these pictures.
