I was driving back to my house the other day, and my wife noticed a turtle in the road. Anyway, I stopped the car and moved him to the grass, but decided to snap a few pics before putting him down. My daughter was in the back seat very interested in the turtle, so I gave her an up close view.

Nice save. Its nice to see you left him in the wild rather than bringing it home. Not saying you couldnt provide him a good home. I just think if it wasnt captive bread, then leave him in his natural envoironment.
 
Agreed.When I was much younger I wanted to catch and keep everything I could get my hands on but I feel different now.
 
Nah, I only moved him off the road. There is a creek not too far from there, but I figure that he looked young, so there must be a breeding population. They know what they're doing better than I know what they're doing. Better to just move them and let them be. Well, and take some pictures too. I have some of one that I pulled off the road last summer. He was pretty big, and kept attacking my boot. This one snapped a few times and off to safety he went.
