i have a pair of convicts that are breeding and just laid a new batch, my question is, is there some type of chemical that you can put in the tank to prevent fungus? i can see a fair amount of eggs have turned white, which i believe is fungus.

Do you know for sure it's fungus?

Don't fix it if it isn't broken.;)

i dont know its fungus, i just read somewhere that if the eggs turn white it usually means they have fungus or went bad.

to answer the original question, Methylene Blue is used to help prevent fungus on new batches of eggs. However, if the eggs have turned white and or developed fungus already it's a bit too late. Often time the white you are seeing as part of the egg color is simply unfertilized eggs, fungus looks a bit different. Hopefully this will help in the future. GL

defenitly unfertilzed ive never had fungus problem with eggs
