I have a misfit tank that are fish people just dump on me that are too agressive

it is 75 gallon 4 foot

right now just has a five star jewel and a chipokae hogging the whole tank

i had a larger super aggressive male convict and huge male salvini in there but they got busted up so quick in a matter of one night i had to take out and put in a healing tank.

The chipokae I don\t know what to do with no one wants him he is so nasty

Five star I have been searching for mate shes a female and i have not found a male in years.

I always thought salvini would at least be able to hold his own with those teeth.

The five star and chipokae have faught but neither wins so they just quit. They are the only two fish that can live with each other.

the salvini was at least an inch larger and convict was half an inch larger

this is not hemichromis fasciatus it is just elongatus female that is the red form. They are suppose to be the same aggression as reg jewels lol

Doesn't surprise me especially when an African Cichlid specie is involved.

A newly added fish is always at a disadvantage. How big was the salvini, mine wasn't to bad till he got over 6 inch.
Agreed, when adding new fish with something very territorial/aggressive it is a good idea to re arrange decor and leave the lights off to disturb territories and give newbies a shot at a chunk of aquarium space. This is what I did to get a few fish with my dovii grow outs in a 60.
