Not a real one, of course.
My grocery store (Food Lion, for anyone familiar with it) just started getting the usual crappy Christmas toys in, and they had a little play fishing set with magnetic fish - some of the sets came with a red Asian aro about 3" long. It was shaped realistically enough that i recognized it from about 15 feet away. I thought it was pretty funny actually - Chinese-made toys, they used a fish that I assume is familiar to them, important to their culture, and not the least - a threatened species - and all the little American kids whose parents buy the toy are just gonna be like "Look Mommy, I caughted the red fishie!" and that's it. Oh well.
If anyone has a Food Lion nearby, go pick up one of these rare plastic red aros for your favorite MFK'er. It's only $10. . . . .
