This topic may have been touched on before but I haven't found much so I'm looking for a little advice. Namely whats the largest sheet I can install and at what thickness. If I remember correctly I read somewhere that the panel will bend fine as long as the radius is 200x the thickness.

If I go by the 200x assumption then 1/4"-3/8" should work fine, but of course the major concern will be the hydro pressure on a panel that is too big. Any ideas? With acrylic sheet around $125-$200(depending on size) and the tank at $600 (cheaper if you can find one on craigslist) it seems like a easily build huge tank, all that's really needed is a jigsaw and a dream. ;)

1/4" might bend enough, i don't think 3/8" would flex enough

If you notice in the video he used polycarbonate which is more flexable and stronger then acrylic. Depending on the radius 1/4" would probably bend enough, hard to say on the 3/8" it depends on the sheet size. By the way 1/2" polycarbonate is bullet resistant.
