Hey guys as some of u may know (from some of my posts) i finaly got around to getting my red bellies a month or so ago. at the time i only bought 4 and wanted to wait to get a few more to get some pics and put em up here. and about 2 weeks ago i got 4 more piranhas. sadly one was attacked and eaten a few days ago but the remaining 7 seem to be doing great

Long story short HERES SOME PICS !! (sadly i couldnt get all the piranhas in the shot but i made sure i had a close up of my favouite i call him gramps cause hes the biggest and bosses everyone around)
so here we go:

oh yeah theres also a 6 inch pleco and 2 4 inch convicts and a really tiny baby convict in with them all of which they have barely bothered lol

oh and a full tank shot i almost forgot

this picture was taken a few months ago so notice i took off the black background (i had to becuase water was splashing up onto the edge of the tank and going behind the background i have since solved the problem and will be putting a new background on soon)

tank is 150 gallons with a 40 gallon sump with a 20 gallon wet/dry chamber a heater chamber a small 3 plastic drawer thing siting on top of the heater chamber (for mech filtration using black foam and filter floss) the plastic drawer thingy isnt in this photo becuase i only added this recently and a pump chamber with a betta living in it lol

the pics of the piranhas were just taken today (the tank shot was taken a month or so ago) if you misinterpreted that i took them a month ago so they currently range from about 2- 3.5 inches (the close up of the 1 is 3.5 inches)

i wanted real plants too but i really couldnt afford the lighting at the time maybe at chrismas though

oh and i got them all at about 1 inch

what's the wattage of your lights? you can just go with low light plants instead of bright light plants. anyway...look forward new pics with real plants after xmas

try vallis? I find it really easy to grow and the RBP's would look good with al oad of that in there

what's the wattage of your lights? you can just go with low light plants instead of bright light plants. anyway...look forward new pics with real plants after xmas

total 64 watts(2x 4 foot bulbs) so not very bright but ill probably add a few more fixtures (perhaps t5) after xmas and grow plants like amazon swords and such


i do have some bamboo growing in the pump section of the filter though
