hi
new to this forum been reading on here for a while now and can not believe the size of some of the tanks on here, it certainly lives up to it name,
so i have just got a tank that is coming to end of its cycle a 100 gallon, i am new to keeping fish and wanted to know how you do water changes on your large tanks as you cant be backward and forwarding with buckets, so any advice on a easy way
cheers

I use a long pipe that I can connect to the tap, I know a lot of ppl use http://www.pythonproducts.com/aqprod.html but I find them very wasteful
I agree.I dont even use mine anymore,I have a hose that is my siphon and the drain is right in the floor a few feet from the tanks. My garden hose attaches to the laundry sink for the refill.

my waterchange tools

-big rubbermaid tubs
-3/4"ID vinyl hose
-shower addapter
-pump

i syphon the tanks into the tubs.. the pump the water to the toilet/bathtub, then refill the tubs from the shower.. treat with prime then pump the water back into the tanks.. durring the summer insted of pumping the water down the drain i syphon or pump it to the lawn..

gravel vac is done into a bucket of for big/ivebeenlazy times it goes into one of the rubbermaid tubs and then gets syphoned out onto the lawn in the summer... in the winter i let it settle then pump the water down the drain and then dump the sludge/poop/sand/gravel on the lawn

Good natural fertilizer :D.
