Just wanted to make my first post. I have been keeping a fish aquarium or aquariums for about 40 years. I'm from Louisiana. They are exclusively fresh water. I currently have two 75 gallons and a 36 gallon angle view. Last night I set up a 185 gallon 60x30x24 and filled it with water. Ill add the sand and start the FX5 tonight. Two Blue Dempseys (1.75 in.) and a small arowana
(4.25 in.) will initially go in. I'll keep all posted on progress. Great site!:)

Welcome! Post some pics of your tank!

Thx for the replys. I agree about pics. They save on typing which im slow at.
I have a cheapo digital camera somewheres. Guess ill have to find it and try my best to get these tanks documented. :)

welcome good to have ya!

wellcome to you, Sir! And wellcome to the baby Aro!:headbang2

Thanks for all the welcomes. I got the sand sifted and in the 180 gallon tank. No leaks! Home-made stand.....It turned out pretty good tho. FX5 is running great. I had the FX5 media in my African tank for about three weeks... figured it might get a jumpstart in there. Once the water clears ill put the fish in. Threw some hornwort grass and some ghost shrimp in. The 2 Blue Dempseys and lil Arro are in the 36 gallon ... I will break it down after I put the fish in the 180.:)
