Hey folks! While I've had fish tanks for a few years now, I don't really consider myself to be an experienced keeper. I've mostly just had smaller sized tanks (under 50 gallons) with easy community or semi aggressive fish. Right now, I've got a 30 gallon with medium sized gravel rocks and a few decorations and bamboo. I have two bamboo shrimp, two mystery snails, a male betta, three Surpae tetras, and a peacock eel.
I've had the tank set up for about 3 months now, and just started adding fish about a month ago. My peacock eel is going downhill, and getting very skinny. I'm hoping to find some good information and advice, and get him fattened up and healthy again.

My poor little eel. He's not doing well, and he's skinny. I'm wondering if he's been eating at all since I've had him.:(

Welcome I'm from Idaho as well. Where in northern Idaho are you? I'm 35 miles north if Idaho falls.

I'm in Post Falls, right between CDA and Spokane. Just moved here from Boise, where I've been for the last 10 years.

@Strollo22, answered you earlier on my other post, but I had the whole tank on frozen bloodworms. I'll definitely be adding some variety from now on, and hopefully have some better luck.

Welcome to MFK, and good luck with your eel!

Unfortunately, I lost my eel late last night.
I've got a mostly empty tank now, so I'll be sure to update when I've decided what to do next.

welcome to mfk...........check out our forums for advice of what to do next... plan ahead.. and enjoy the discovery along the way...
