Hello,
As of this week, I’ve noticed that my giant danios have started to get small patches along their spines which are missing scales. Also my congo tetras have either started to get fin rot or the danios nipped off their tails
I know danios can be aggressive and they are very nippy. Today, I noticed my largest male Congo tetra has developed a white growth on his eye. I am very diligent with 75% water changes every 5-8 days. but do develop a lot of algae in the tank. Still in the process of setting up the 180g. I have prazipro and Paraguard on deck.Any help would be awesome.
note:I added some prime to my water today when I noticed there was ammonia in the tank! Usually I never have ammonia.typicallly if anything it is high nitrates. The only thing I can think of is I did a big water change and rinsed the sponge in tap water this time. And I added in some new tissue cultured plants last week. The big plant in the middle is plastic. Filter AC110. All the polypterus look normal, thank goodness. Please help
