so my F1 gymno's have like brown scales, and at some points the scales look completely rotted, its really prevailed on my rhabdotus? but now my bahia reds are showing the same thing, same with the parachromis? the tank consists of parachromis sp. la ceiba yellow heads, gymno bahia reds, rhabdotus, tsn, scomb. silver datnoids, angel fish, and few other, but only my F1 fish are showing it. what could this be?
they are as healthy as a horse, eating to the fullest they could hold, but im just worried cause i lost one of my rhabdotus because it looked like the scales were rotted and it looked like crap to be honest. im really worried, could it be chlorine burn or something. what could i do to treat this? im really worried, cause i really like these fish and don't want to lose em'.
i do not know the water params, i will test tomorrow. and the temp is around 74 degrees. its a 125 gallon tank, and i have two emperor 400's as filtration (im looking into an fx5 and will be upgrading soon to a larger tank).
thanks in advance. anything would be highly appreciated.
