Well, I've got a new 125g and I have no idea how I'm gonna scape this. I'm going to have 2 bichirs, a fire eel, and an Indo Datnoid with some Rainbowfish. I would like to keep going planted. All I have is a Pea gravel substrate right now.

Any suggestions?

i have a few swards and some lava rock in my blacked out 125gal right now. i would do some wood you know those not cheap branches that look wicked. they are "m" something mansomethinorothers. they add alot of character to tanks.

With the fire eel keep a cave for it. Also try to stay away from sharp edges. Drift wood would be cool more natural look

I like the driftwood idea, but where is the best (cheapest) place to get it? Down by the river? :)

I think for the eel I'm gonna do a pvc tube partially in the gravel.

Some large smooth river rocks too.

Yup, down by the river. Thats where I get all my DW.

i get my native tank/gar tanks wood from lakes and rivers but other tanks i really love that manzonite wood there is a vendor here that sells
them and they are not to cheap but worth every dollar for the class they give the tanks. i have been looking many year while fishing every weekend for wood and i dont find many real nice ones. just the few i have in my tank. most of the time i find a cool chunk of wood and it is too crumbly for a tank.
