Last week I did a water change and my Redtail Shark freaked out and almost died. This week I did a water change and all my fish are hardly moving some times just floating in the current.

I have been adding prime to each bucket, and unless my thermomitor is broken the water temp hasn't changed. The last time I did a 50% this time I did lieka 70%.

My water company wont even answer my calls, or when they do they give me the run around.

This is my display and the first tank I got with all my fav fish, I don't know what to do, or what I would do if somehting happens.

Thanks for listening to my rant

I forgot to add yester day I did a water change in my 30 gallon and a guppy died, I figured the guppy died from being bashed into something when I poured the water in. However now I am not so sure. The only other explinaiton is the prime is bad.

Hmm its normal for fish to get stressed dureing a water change but they should go back to normal after words do your fish go back to normal the next day after a water change

Check and see if theres a difference in Ph, KH and such between your takn water ad tap water

this just happend, ill update tomorrow.

You could be shocking your fish with a PH change. That's a big water change. I don't advocate big water changes like that. 25% once a week unless your tap water is almost the same PH as your tank.

i would say it depends more on the fish, than anything. if its a tank with sensitive fish i dont reccomend it. yet ive been doing 50-75% wc's on my cichlid and goldfish tanks for a long time, and have never had a single issue with it. but thats a thread all in its own.....

on topic....i would most likely think your water company has started adding something to the water supply. if you have done WC in the passed and not has an issue, and suddenly you do, that would say something to me.

on the other hand....have you used the bottle of prime your using now for successful WC before this started happening??

you should try to get in touch with your water company. ours has been adding something to the water for whatever reason we saw it in a letter they sent to a lfs as a warning.
