My pacu who I have owned since it was a tiny baby is now about 9" long but has never had a problem of coming up to me or has been scared. But since last week that has change when ever my pacu sees me he goes into the corner of the tank and hides behind some plants, I have not scared the fish or anything, the tank is in my room and the only other live thing in my room that see the fish are my rats, mice, and snake (all pets). I don't know what spooked him and I'm actually really concerned because when I feed them he goes right into his corner and refuses to eat until all the lights are off, im out of the room or he can't see me? Help!?!

Just give him some time, its just a phase. Do what you normally do and he'll snap out of it.

No, he's seen me in everything though since his tanks in my room and to say he's seen me completely me undressed and has fine, I don't need glass he was just spooked one day and has been for about 2weeks- 1 month

Hopefully, I never switched out out of my normal routine so I hope it's just a mood or something since he was a friendly fish and used to swim and watch but now he hides in a corner :(

Could be that he's getting too big for your tank, this is only a suggestion as I have no idea what size of tank you have. Bigger fish in small tanks tend to hide and become afraid, in my experience.

He's currently 9" in a 120 gallon tank but next month once my tank stand is done he's being switched to a 600 gallon with the dimensions of 5 ft long x 3 ft wide x and 6 high,
i really hope this isn't the problem -___- because he will have to wait another 15 or so days, then the time that I have to cycle the 600 gallon
