Anyone keep any kind of scavenger fish in their sumps?
I have a large area up one end of my sump that i originally designed to hold pups but i have since added a secondary pup tank. So now this area in the sump is dead space and only holds a small pump which feeds the pup tank and the overflow from the pup tank also exits into this area of the sump so any uneaten food falls into this area of the sump. I have grown up various things in the sump including tin foils, Geos and also a turtle. But now i just want to house something in there that will forrage for scraps of food and does not need a lot of light, maybe some kind of small catfish?
Anyone got any suggestions?

I have a Pleco in my sump. I didn't put him in there, he fell through the piping and he's been in there for 2 years. Looks like he eats up anything that gets in there

Plecos are a good choice.

How about a couple of large freshwater shrimp or crayfish types Jim? There's a multitude of shrimps on the market.

Go crazy with some of those blind cave tetra, I actually wonder if that would work.
