I have 15 julii corydora. 2 of them have been chasing each other for a few days. I woke up today and 1 is very fat/plump. What are the chances that they are breeding? 50/50? 75/25? 99/1? 0? 100?

They might be false julii cories. Idk. But its possible. I got some from lfs and some from Petsmart. I'm trying to take pics but they swim really fast.

look up corydoras breeding. It is suggested to use many fish, i believe it is multiple males to each female. So yes it is possible, the odds? who knows. You need to also provide info on size, genders, how long have you had them, conditions of tank etc. From what I know, the is generally a higher success rate when you add plants, such as java moss

Have you done a major water change lately?

I am very bad with size. Maybe an inch? Genders: idk but I would guess m & fm. Tank is heavily planted. A lil bit of java moss. Huge pads of java fern over 50 total sq inches. Some exceeding 12" high. Mother sword plant. Tiger lotus, duckweeds and LOTS of this floating fern whose name I forgot. Gravel substrate with that flourite stuff mixed together. Tank is 100g. Ph is 6.3, acidic. Nitrates ~35ppm. No ammonia or nitrites. Tanks been established for years. Filter ac110 & xp3. Current: enough to make water ripples at the surface but the floating plants absorb the majority of the current.1 of my floating plants is over a foot in diameter and has given birth to countless hundreds which are clogging the surface of the water. Temperature is 72°. tankmates: pleco, discus, gobies, cories, synodontis catfish, dwarf frogs, tetras, guppies, german ram, dwarf jewel cichlid, this predatory fish whose name I forget,...

Edit: the floating plants name is watersprite. Its so overgrown its now growing emersed trailing off the sides of the tank.

Yea your tank sounds like a good setup to breed them, but with stock like synos and more...you will be very lucky to have any eggs escape being eaten, even if they hatch the fry will suffer the same problem of hungry fish
