Phnx az
starting a stocking list for a 240
I am transfering these
1- 13" Oscar
1- 3 to 4" EB Hap
1- bushy nose plec
1- 6 to 7" lace cat

definately adding
1- Ornate Bicher
4- chinese alge eaters (hope at least 1 makes it to 6" or so if not oh well)

as far as dithers I'm thinking 2 Bala Sharks but would like somthing I could add more of knowing Balas get to 10" + (if they don't get eatin)

Any other ideas I'm looking for somthing that gets to about 6" and dithers realy well.....

Not sure if they'll get to 6", but what about giant danios?

They might not get 6", but they will get close...but they are great dither fish. Antother good fish to use are tiger barbs. They may stay small, but they can hold their own against some pretty mean SOBs.

I've used rainbows too. They have great color and they are always moving and feed very aggressively so it draws a lot of attention.

Silver dollars, I have 3 of them and they are pretty fun to watch, thinking of adding 2 more. Tiger barbs are also pretty cool and really fun to watch, but their snack size once the ornate gets a bit bigger.

I have a 3" bala with a 12" S-Aro and he holds his own. Well I dont know about holding his own but the silver and the pacus dont even see him as food (even though I feed them gold fish - larger than the bala.)

He's a pretty interesting fish to watch. He's sneaky when it comes to feeding time.

:iagree: Silver Dollars

I forgot about silvers...that probably would be your best bet. Very nice fish too.
