Schooling fish??

Hey I was just wondering if anybody keeps any schooling fish with their cichlids?

If so, what kind?

Yeah ~ Silver Dollars , i currently have 6 in with my Oscar , Black Belt , Jag' , Ect .

giant danios work well with smaller cichlids, silver dollars with larger stuff. Generally they will be ignored though.

Well I've never kept any schooling fish with my cichlids, but I wanted to try Zebra Danios. Any thoughts?

dollars work well and they are from south america

I had 11 tiger barbs, they started disapearing one by one so I moved them out when only 8 were left.

The only problem with silver dollars is they get huge.

I have a 55 gallon with:
(2) Female Convicts both 2 inches.
(1) Female Jack Dempsey about 4 inches.

I don't know what silver dollars max out at but I think they might be a little too big for a 55.

A bit big for a 55 I think, they get about 6 inches or so.

Giant danios would be fine, but they like to jump.

Yeah I thought they got big..

How big do Giant Danios get to be? That's what the LFS guy suggested to me.
