Was a bit surprised to find eggs on the glass from my less than 1/2 grown Scleromystax barbatus. But, I'll take those types of surprises any day.Scleromystax barbatus.jpg

Glad to see this and your presence, Phil. You show up so rarely now, that each time's a treat.

So what are you going to do when all these eggs grow up to monstrous size barbatuses? Build a large pond for them?

The other females in the group are also filling out. So, these 64 eggs may have company soon. My Brochis females are also starting to plump up. I'm hoping for some eggs from them soon, as well. I've covered the eggs with a breeder net by using coral mount magnets to hold the net box to the glass. This way, the hatchlings will remain in the net for eventual transfer to a 45 gal grow-out tank. If the numbers get too high, I'll set up a 4ft x 4ft x 1ft frag tank I have in storage. I plan on selling/trading the grow-outs when they reach about an inch.
