So I went to my lfs today for some supplies and I went back to the freshwater section to see what was for sale, and I seen this 3.5" scomb payara eating a tire track eel! I know the guy keeps his fish well fed but dang! Was this fish hungerrry! He got in about 6 of them last week all the same size and this payara was the last one. Well at least we all know it won't pass up a meal haha!

What a beast! Looks like a lot of lfs are getting flooded with armatus.

LOL

Nothing rare about armatus as they come in thousands this time of year. The problem is nobody can keep them alive for long periods of time because they stick them in 75 gallon,90 gallon, etc and expect them to live. Not sure why there still is the hype for Armatus. A 450 gallon wasn't even big enough to keep mine alive.

Haha, its call aquarium masters.
Could be an armatus, but the face of the payara has quite a slope to it...

I do like the armatus species as well, but I'll agree with the fact I would need a bigger tank just to house one. I'm good with my scomb though.
