Two serious scores in one day...
Yeah, so I lost my leopard puffer over the weekend and was a bit depressed about it. Went in to work today and my co-worker who owes me a few favors asked me if I wanted another. I said yes, so she asked me where I bought them. I told her and she said ok...what kind did I want? I told her I was looking for a south american, but they wouldn't be in till friday. She asked if there was another kind, I jokingly said they had a Fahaka but it was $50. She said "Ok, I'll get you that one." Score number one.
So after work I went by the LFS to make sure they still had the Fahaka and to let them know it was sold and I'd pick it up tomorrow. Well, while I was there I said something to one of the guys there about wishing they still had Arowanas, and was told that they did have one. Puzzled as I hadn't seen it asked where. He took me over to a tank and pointed it out saying it was odd looking and he wasn't sure if it was one or not. All they'd ever had was Silvers, but this lil beauty was a frickin' Jardini! Excited but wary I asked him how much....$19.99! SCORE!
So end of the story being I'm picking up my free Fahaka, and my $20 Jardini tomorrow.
