A friend texted me this morning and told me about a FREE 225 gallon tank on CL so i checked it out and emailed the guy, he called me back just a few minutes later, he said the tank is a drilled 225g glass aquarium he was keeping pacus in and it started leaking, he said it leaked down about 4 inches, he siliconed it and it held for about 2 months and now started leaking down 4 inches again, he donated his pacus to an aquarium and doesnt need the tanks anymore.....so im going after work to pick it up..hes giving me the tank, home made stand and 2 30g sumps and all the piping for it.:headbang2

Ill post pics sometime tommorrow of what got.

Resealing an aquarium is not hard at all, just takes time.
 
Yea, I saw that on cl this morning, I'm in pc. I thougt about calling but my wife would kill me is I picked up another 200+ tank. Espicially a leaking one. The sumps looked like bare tanks. Please post pics when you get it. I'm curious what all it comes with.
 
just got back home from getting the tank.its not a 225g the measurements are 72x22x28 so i think that puts it about 190goh well it was free...lol anyway the tank is drill with 4 holes along the side of the tank(illpost pics tomorrow)......its heavy as hell, the sumps are connected and are about 25-30 gallons each....the overflow box runs from front to back, i think im gona change that....anyway ill post pics tomorrow sometime, i was gonna get the stand also but didnt have room for it.
 
fish tank sellers are infamous on CL- they charge 200 bucks for a 20g tank full of dirty water , puke grave, petsmart style stand, and loaded with goldfish saying its one of a kind.
