You guys probably think it isn't a big deal however, not in school currently and hating to work at the restaurant I am at now...work for me! Got a job where I can make some cash, be productive and of course the opportunity to work with various animals. Im hoping I get to work in the reptile or aquatics section.

Just curious if anyone has worked at a petsmart, what to expect interview wise?

Any tips greatly appreciate it!
 
Do us a favour, and get to the guys that need feeder fish before the family with the little girl that can't make up her mind.

LMAO, I've been in that situation tons of time...awaiting help... when someone is trying to figure out what fish to get.
 
Just be enthusiastic I'd say, they'll be able to tell whether you're passionate or not lol

I've worked there before. If they ask about your experience with reptiles and fish, be honest but don't brag or boast. Willingness to feed the snakes helps as most dont want to do that for various reasons.

And from experience, they will change some things about set-ups...but only to a degree. They are better than petco at least
 
you can make alot more $ in a restaurant. I worked at a petland and then high end resturants. Im from NY as well (south westchester)
 
Hey thanks for the replies, I will be honest and yeah pretty sure it looks like petsmart does better for the husbandry needs of their animals. Im sure that can make more money at a restaurant however I figure I get a retail job so i can work full time at as well as enjoy working with the animals preferably reptiles and or aquatics.

This is all while I wait to either go back to college or hopefully get the call to work at metro north here in NY

My Petsmart is pretty good to say the least, awesome pet staff.
