125g tank. 6ft longx18" wide x21" tall glass. I has this tank running for a little over 20 years. Moved it once after I owned it for a year and it's been in this same spot for 19+ years. Tank was compkcompl level when I moved it here. I notice it's a quarter inch unleveled (difference in water line from left side to right side). I read a few threads and I believe 0.25" is acceptable? Correct me if I'm wrong please.

I noticed this when gravel vacuuming two or three weeks ago. I happened to look at again while I was looking for stuff under the tank.

I'm a worrier so I figured I'd post to see if I should be concerned or not.

It's obviously near the bottom of the tank as it in the gravel line. I don't know when it happened. Could have been there for a long time or happened when I did some rearranging of rocks.

My tank was half lit for years and I didn't really scrutinize everything until I gained a new obsession with the hobby.

Thanks for any advice.IMG_20180504_220141.jpg IMG_20180504_214849.jpg

Is that a scratch or a crack. If it’s a crack, hate to say it it’s not good buddy. A lot or if not most of pressure is on the bottom. Really don’t have don’t know what to do. Hope others chime in and have a resolution to fix this.

If it's a crack it's bad. I have seen people repair cracked tanks by drilling off the end of the crack and silicon-ing a patch piece over it. I have never attempted that. Since 125's are pretty easy to come by used, I'd get another one, if it is a crack.
If it's a scratch, don't worry about it.

I feel like a moron now. So, I took a shower bc I'm terrified of bio security concerning the QT tank that just got new fish.

I reached my hand in there to try to feel the crack/scratch. I started to get worried as I could not feel anything which made me suspect it was a crack.

I then looked again to see if I was rubbing the right area. It looked to be in a different spot. Then I tried rubbing again and some blue piece of material moved into the gravel. I'll try looking for it when I get gravel vacuum.

I still can't believe it bc I vacuumed that spot three weeks ago and didn't see it move so it must have been stuck on the glass.

Sucks I missed this drfosters promo that expired but at midnight hut I assume they'll have another promo. I feel a sense of relief though.

I thought that blue line looked a bit odd myself, almost like a piece of filter material such as Matala mat.

Glad to hear it moved and eased your worries.
