Scratched glass outside tank

I have a 75 and the glass is scratched on the outside. I can still see my fish, but it is noticeable and just looks bad. Does anybody have a trick to hide scratches on glass. When I was younger I was a deck hang on an offshore crew boat. We ran crew to offshore platforms when the weather was too bad for helicopters to fly. Anyway.... the windows were plexiglass and we're scratched. I would put furniture polish on them to fill the scratches, but it did not last long. Any way to do something permanent?

plexi/acrylic can be sanded/buffed back to clear... glass cannot.. ive heard "bar keepers friend" works well to hide the scratches as ur saying.

You can also try super fine sandpaper, but test it on a small area first...toothpaste makes a good medium.

• 220-grit (CAMI) sandpaper = (FEPA) P-180 or P-220
• 400-grit (CAMI) sandpaper = (FEPA) P-600 or P-800

Isn't that what's used to remove scratches from glass tables? I know you can buy kits for that.
