I just bought a 95 gal. tank for a corner. It's a little scratched up. Mostly fine ones but some are fairly deep. Just wondering what the best way is to remove them? I've heard of
some of the repair kits. Do they work and are any better than the others? Thanks

For the deep scratches you want wet sand paper 1000 2000 5000 grit...(can get from automotive store) Follow it up with 3 part Novus for the fine scratches...(can order online). Remember when sanding to only go in one direction, either up and down or side to side...NO circular sanding....I did my 240 with this method...

I find anything above 2000 is unnecessary since acrylic hides a lot of scratches when wet. Novus is great stuff, only really need #3 and #2, the #1 is just a cleaning chemical better used on the outside to keep fingerprints from getting on the acrylic.

The method of alternating one-directional sanding is good for smaller projects, I am polishing a much larger aquarium and it can be done with orbital sanders and buffers if you are patient to work out the swirl marks.
