scratches on scales?

he has scratches on his scales that never healed
seems like its gonna be there for life unless his scales fall off
had them for what 5 months now
its on top of his body
5 or 6 scales have them

I believe it's here for life unless the scales fall off as u said.
my RTG has some scratched scaled for the driftwood too.
as long as it's not too noticeable it's ok.

Think you can either leave it there or pluck it out to let new scales grow. If it disturbs you very much then better to pluck it out.
