Scratching my head about TSN

Came home from work and my Tsn's whiskers look frayed all of them and his upper lip looks like its been rubbed off. Didnt look like that last night or this mourning. He's in a grow out 72 gallon bow was putting him in the big tank this weekend. Now im scratching my head on wether i should wait until i can figure what happen.

Do water changes .. will help heal until you figure something out.

I did that the same day he hasnt gotten any worse but cant tell if hes any better. He is still eat'n though just with no whiskers it takes him a bit longer.
