What is the best way to get scratchs out of a glass fish tank. Thank you

There really is no way that won't leave you worse off than before. Polishing glass takes several coarse to medium to fine grindings which are then followed by coarse to medium to fine polishing stages. Viewing glass usually requires polishing to 15,000 grit or finer. Any chips coming off scratch edges will cause new, and possibly large, scratches. Trying to polish tempered glass usually leads to crumbling glass. There are scratch maskers available that are sold to fill in scratches temporarily on eyeglasses. This might be a safer route to take.

Try rubbing a tad of oil in the scratches. This could help it. They make wax like pens for table scratches and this would be the ultimate thing but I dunno if they make it for glass.

If the tank is empty then turtle wax buffing compound will dull the edges of the scratch enough that they practically disappear when the tank is filled. It takes a bit of elbow grease though.
