Just seeing if anyone has made the same mistake as myself.
Not long ago I ordered a female Red Devil, in a red morph.
I got a call from the lfs a couple days ago, saying that My RD's arrived then the day before I could organise a go between, (because I couldnt get time off work) I get a call saying that one had died and it couldnt be replaced. Sure enough I let it go, then when my remaining RD arrived it was barred not red(not what I had orderd) I dont understand how the visual mistake could be made, I had spoken to them when they got it and they asured that it was a female, red, pure Labiatus...
Anyway I took in my new little devil and plan to keep her as best I can..

anyone got any stories similar to mine?

cheers

How large is she? If its still only a few inches, chances are she hasn't peeled yet. Also, how do you know its a female?

I'm also confused by your story... was the original one you ordered was killed? Then it couldn't be replaced, but you got another? Did you order two female reds?

sorry bloke, left out a few little things, the ones I got was supposed to be around 6-7'' , red and female. I had ordered two.
Dont know why but the lfs couldnt replace the one that died, the lfs didnt know why it died.
The one that I did get is only about 4-5''.
sorry if my story was hard to understand.

When you say peel(ed/ing) is that a drastic change in colour with maturity?
Its just I've seen smaller specimens already in full red.
anyway I'll give it time, and see what happens.
I've already fallen for this little fish in just a day, such a personallity,
was hand feeding and beating up the algae scraper in hours.

cheers
