scrubber flow question

i am making a scrubber for my 210 gal freshwater tank and i was wondering if it makes a difference if i buy a bigger pump or minumin size pump for the flow on the screen?

my screen is gonna be 13'' wide and 23 inches tall

13'' wide requires just around 500gph
i was thinking of getting a 1200gph

You can always reduce the flow from that bigger pump so it would be no problem and you would have the range to max the flow of the scrubber. Only drawback I really see is the larger pump might be noisier and it will cost more $ to run.
