Hi... i currently have a wet and dry filter running... and i'm using bio balls. Now i was thinking of adding scrubbies but should i put the scrubbies in with the bio balls where water drips through them? Or should i leave them in the sump area where water is about to enter the return pump?
Also another noob question.... but can there ever be too much bio media or BB? Or is it the more the better? Please let me know... Thanks! :)

The more the better and you can put the scrubs anywhere you want as long as they get wet then you are good.

Mix them if you like, they do well in a drip environment too. BB only grows to the amount of nutrients available.

Yay... i bought some pot srubbers and i put 60 of them in my sump where the return pump is, Now another question.... is 60 scrubbers enough or do i need more??

Like Dr. Joe said, the BB will only grow to the amount of nutrients in the tank. You can add 1000 scrubbies, but if there isn't enough amonia/nitrites, then they won't do any good.

:grinno: How big a tank and bio-load? (kinda important that we know that info ;)).

:iagree: If I knew my bio media was sufficient or more than sufficient to house the current BB .. I would rather add more mech filtration. if I were going to add as to trap more particulate matter....
