Im not a scuba diver, but i've been before. I dived at Phi Phi island in Thailand, they filmed the movie 'The Beach' with Leo DeCaprio there. It was amazing, seen a big turtle, a few sharks, and some barracuda. I need to get my open water license.
blown some bubbles, but preffer freediving up to 100 feet or so. if i had a boat id probably do more scuba but from the shore freediving is the easier option
I've been diving for about 3 years now, not much fun diving though.. Mostly putting in underwater anchoring systems for floating docks on local lakes up here in WA.
I dove with a tank for the first time about 18 years ago and I've been certified for 12 years. I started out snorkeling for crawdads in the creek as a kid and it just continued from there.
I really like diving in unusual places - rivers, lakes, underground - as well as the usual saltwater dive sites. One of the more memorable dives I've been on involved rappelling into a Mayan sacrificial well to swim with hundreds of ancient skeletons.

Thats AWESOME!
I enjoy snorkeling, living in florida there are plenty of reefs, as well as lakes and canals, that are perfect for snorkeling, and although I would love to get dive certified snorkeling is sufficient for now.
