In front of my tanks
Bought 4 silver dollars for my smaller tank. They all looked the same.when I got them but since they have grown clearly I have 2 different kinds. One is a common sd but the other three are totally different. They have a long black wisp off there dorsal and developed a single black dot behind the gill plate. I tried searching but couldn' find anything that resembles it.

Not sure. I believe juvenile whimples have black in their tail. Maybe a juvenile metynnis lippincotianus but I’ve never seen a juvi. Does have a black spot and black on the dorsal so my guess.

There not simple. Juvi have that hooked jaw. What ever these are they grow slower than common sd. My common is twice the size of the others and I bought them all the same size

That is a very unique, nice looking SD. I've never seen one exactly like that. The high back and fin structure are very similar to my Tiger Stripes. A very good pick up. I've attached a pic to compare.

Very interesting juvenile.
Unfortunately the picture is fuzzy and small. Can't even make out the adipose fin, which is critical to basing a genus level half-informed guess.
Could you provide additional images and/or a description of the adipose fin of this fish that of any other silver dollar picture (online, your own, or from the rest of your newly acquired juvies)?
Then, conversation may flow.
Nice find. Good luck with the group!
