My Trimac has had a 180 gal to himself for several months. This weekend I sold a tank and had to put 4 large Silver Dollars back in the tank with him. Well of cours he has started to chase them, takes a break, chases them again etc...

I feel like it is either stressing him out, or maybe good exercise, and something to occupy his time with.

Should I keep the SD's with the Trimac?

hes used to living alone and he now has 4 roomates. hes pissed haha! The only thing you have to worry about is him killing them. T-Macs dont get stressed by much.

He might eventually just let them be, but I doubt it. If you dont want to chance them getting killed, maybe some smaller dithers that could get into hiding places would work, assuming your silver dollars are close to full grown.

Just give them time, a 180 gives them enough room to get away as they are faster and he can't focus on one. Rearrange the tank abit and he might settle down. If not you gave it your best and just remove them.

:iagree:
