 Coming home today from school, I come to check on my tanks, and my sea robin was sitting on the screen from my tank sperator. He has passed away. Coming in at 8 inches, from the 3 inches and 5 months ago when I got him, he was a true friend. It is a sad day.
As you all know, he has not been doing to good. After suggestions, I split up him and the eel. Things seemed to be going better. He started growing back his scales, and his big side fin was regrowing. But just 2 days ago things took a turn for the worst, his whole side began to loose scales, and a strange whiteish lump, almost an ulcer was on his tail fin. Yesterday, was no improvement, but he was still eating food, and had not been in contact with the eel. But, he must have gained some fungus or bacterial disease that was just to much for him.
I came home to find only one periwinkle on him, so it must not have been long before I came back that he died. Taking him out of the tank, I then found one of his eyes to be clouded. I took some post mortum pictures, and will get them up when I can. I know how to deal with pet loss, but this one will be tough because I really bonded with my lil guy, we knew eachother well. Long live the sea robin. :(

*sheds a tear*

oh man. . .. . .

sorry to hear dude  :(

he's a native right?

would you get another, and learn from this mistake? :)
Yeah he's native. I think I would get another one, but if I were, I would dedicate one tank to it and keep it solitary.
Thanks for your condolences, you and the others to who responded.

Sorry about your loss, Fish_are_food. It's always sad to lose our friends, but as you have noticed, LIFE GOES ON. All we have to do is look forward and learn with our mistakes.

Best regards.

Daniel.

he was a cute little guy. Get another sea robin, there arent many people who can say that they keep one.

Sorry to hear he didn't make it. I hope yuo get another, your idea about it being in a specimin tank is probably a good one. Eels can be buttheads sometimes.
