Here's a cute Sea Story for ya,
I am a Merchant Mariner and I sail the high seas on huge ships, an oiler this particular time, and I also have a 30g swfo tank on the ship, yes...it's possible but can get complicated during heavy storms, you might say my fish can get sea sick, hahaha.....anyways, I was leaving the ship so I transferred my two blue throat juvenile triggers to a ten gallon tank for about a month, well, oneday I was sitting in the room watching tv and I heard some splashing so I looked over at my tank and just figured my children were playing so I turned back to the tv, then yet another big splash caught my attention and I then noticed my female sinking sideways to the bottom, this had me jump up into the air and run over to the tank where I noticed my filter system had stopped running due to sand particles clogging it up so I grabbed my air stone tube near by and popped open the tank and shoved it into my male trigger's mouth and he sucked on it and began swimming correctly vice floating to the bottom, I had to do this four or five times as soon as I saw him floating sideways back down. My husband, who also sails with me as a Merchant Mariner on the same ship, had prepared a bucket of fresh sw and I scooped up my male and put him in the bucket. The female I am sad to say didn't make it. I didn't have another small filter motor so instead I used a nano skimmer for that tank along with an airstone for the next month and my male was alive, although very shaken up and timid, I told my shipmates at work about my having to give my fish CPR and now my male is either retarded due to lack of oxygen or scared to death watching his sister die and he of course at least saw the light himself. I then got off the ship after a month of him just peaking out looking at me and not actually being his playful self and drove from Virginia to Texas with him in a plastic container and an airstone hose. He is now in my 210g tank and being his happy and playful self again. You can say this fish has been around the world with me, saw the light in which I pulled him away from, so we are completely bonded for life, ha.

Great story! Sorry to hear about your female though :(

Good read, it put a smile on my face =)
