Seachem Calcium?

Is it safe to use seachem reef calcium in my shrimp/snail tank to add extra calcium for the snail shells? Here is a link to the product...http://www.seachem.com/Products/product_pages/ReefCalcium.html

It does not contain copper or anything harmful so it should be safe/ beneficial, right?

Make sure to dilute it before adding it and also be careful to not pour it directly onto the critters. Some people have had issues with their shrimp after dosing calcium, so start sparingly. I have dosed it in my bridgesii tanks with no issues.

I think diluting it and then adding it is a good idea.

Yeah I under dosed a lot because it is made for reefs and reefs need much more calcium.

You could simply try dropping calcium tablets straight to the tank. I am using Caltrate (with Vitamin D added) in the meantime for my apple snails although I am trying to find one that does not have it. Vitamin D just seems toxic if used in excess. Cuttlefish bone also works.
