I just killed all my Loaches!! I have this 46 Euro that was an all Loach tank except for 4 Killi's. I have had a problem with it lately with being a little cloudy. I run an Eheim 2236 and a Penguin 150 on it. It has been set up and running great for about 6 months. It has just always been a bit cloudy. I use Seachem Stability and Prime when setting up and from time to time just to keep things in good shape. My wife bought me a three pack of Seachem products for so holiday and I had never opened it. When I looked at it today I noticed it had Stability, Prime and Clarity in it. So I decide to give the Clarity a shot. It said it would not harm fish or invertebrates, BULL$&#@!! It also said that the water may get a little cloudy and smell like sulfur when first put in but would clear within a couple hours. So when I put it in the tank got a little cloudy and smelled like sulfur, so it must be working. Well I had to run some errands today and when I got back ALL of my Loaches where dead!! There skin was literally burned off. I used 1 capful just like the directions said. My beautiful 7" Yellow Tail Blue and Tiger Botia's. All of my Loaches: Yo-Yo's, Kuhlies, Skunks, Zebras and a couple Sand somethings. I never used a clarity product and now I will know to never use one again. A Brutal lesson learned. The only thing that changed in this tank was adding the Clarity product. Has anyone else ever had a problem like this?

Wow that's rough, I've used similar products with no I'll effect, I think the stuff I us is tetra brand pond clarifier, I'll be more careful if I ever use it again

I also just recently used Seachem’s Clarity and had a bad experience. The Clarity turned my water a terrible brown color. I read the instructions I understood it would cloud the water but not turn it into tea! I let it filter for 48 hours hoping it would finally fade but still no color change. In the end I did a 100% water change. I don’t have plans on using that again.

never used that product but from personal experience always use half doses or less when yopu have delicate or scaleless fish and are adding medication or any other chemicals to the water
